Description

Jointly organised by the RCVS and VDS and in conjuction with the BVA, this two-day course provides key information and skills needed to practise in the UK.

The course is aimed at overseas qualified veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses during their first two years working in the UK, as well as those considering working here.

27 November 2017 - Communications Masterclass

Delegates go through the challenges they may face in the consulting room and how to handle them in a role-play format. The day costs £160 per person and payment must be made in advance in order to secure your place.

Registration will begin at around 8.30am with the first session starting at 9am. Lunch will be provided and the day will finish around 4.15pm

28 November 2017 - Key information and skills needed to practise as a vet and veterinary nurse in the UK.

The day is free of charge and provides an overview of the UK profession. The course will cover how the profession is organised, information about jobs, employment rights and the support available if things go wrong.

Talks will be given by representatives from RCVS, VDS and BVA, together with the Veterinary Benevolent Fund.

The speakers and programme for the day will be confirmed shortly.
